December Team Challenge (No. 9, Part 1)

I hope everyone is having a fabulous New Year!!!! Now that we have had some time to settle into 2011, it is time to get on with our team challenges. December was a crazy month for most people so we don't have as many entries this month as usual. But, what we do have is fabulous and they are each going to get spotlighted all by themselves.

As a brief recap, here are the topics of our December challenge

#1. Love Makes The World Go Round:

#2 President's Day

Our first item is from Designs in Stained Glass.

This sun catcher is just stunning! I can picture it hanging in my kitchen window. A beautiful item, regardless of the time of year.

I'll be back next Friday with another great December entry. In the meantime, get cracking on the January challenge!

Team Project No. 7, Holidazzle, Part 1

This months' challenge was a hot one. Fourteen people contributed, many of them with more than one entry (sorry, but we can only feature one entry from each person). Our challenge for the month of October was to either:
1. Incorporate 2 of the following colors/gems into an item.
Red (Ruby/Garnet)
Blue (Sapphire)
Citrine
Diamond
Green(Emerald)
Gold/Silver
or
2. Create a paper product incorporating Winter Solstice, Christmas, Hannukah, or Kwanzaa

Let's get started!

Check out this card from KPTography. She managed to incorporate both pieces of the challenge in one entry.

This is new category for us- soap! The Pomegranate and Peppermint soap from Belleskincare sure sounds and looks good.

How about this beautiful stained glass panel from DesignsStainedGlass? Perfect for the holidays and year round.

Want to glitz up your Etsy shop for the holidays? This banner from thebannerloft should do the trick.

See you next week with some more great October entries!

Yet another Friday of presenting The Hearts and Hands United Team Project of October.  The challenge was, as you probably remember to make an item using two of the following colors: Burnt Orange, Loden Green, Deep Burgandy , Rust and Pumpkin.

From MaisondeTerre comes this hand knit hat in burnt orange with a tiny bit of slouch. Made out of cotton yarn it'll protect you from the autumn winds.

Put a little fox in your life!
From Art by Trudy comes this autumn fox acrylic original painting in colors of pumpkin and burnt orange.

A howling wolf in rich earth tones comes from Designs in Stained Glass. It's a glass panel, perfect for catching that autumn sun in your window.

Team Project No. 2 - Life's a Beach! Pt. 1

I don't know about you, but Sweden (where I'm at) is right now experiencing the hottest summer since the mid nineties so naturally I'm spending lots of time at the beach and in the water.
The Team Project for June that I'm about to present to you now is called "Life's a Beach". The items made for this project is supposed to be made in one, two or all three colors: turquoise, orange and sand.
Pretty suitable for the hot summer, right?

The first three projects for "Life is a Beach" presented today, comes from Terrills Tiles, Moore Magnets and Designs in Stained Glass. Enjoy!

A summery, nautical sea breeze comes from Terrills Tiles with this four piece coaster set.
With hand stamped and hand painted motifs of seashells, lighthouses, sail boats and palm trees these tiles are perfect for your refreshing drinks on a hot summer day.

From Moore Magnets comes this lovely framed magnet board.
This magnet board is made out of Amy Butlers Paradise in Garden Periwinkle fabric that coordinates elegantly with the glossy orange frame. Six matching magnets are comes along with it, suitable for any office, kitchen or bedroom.

Here's a stained glass panel for hanging in a window, with an image of relaxing summertime on the beach from Designs In Stained Glass.
A beautiful blue sky, a sandy beach and a chair to sit down in and read your favorite book before hanging the red summer hat on it, before taking a cooling dip in the ocean. A few sea shells are attached to the panel.

Be sure to check back next Friday for three more summery projects from the members of Hearts and Hands United.

Team project No. 1 - Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue, pt. 3

It's Friday again and this means that I'm showing you three new items in the wedding theme Team Project from the members of the Hearts and Hands United Team. Today's artists are Designs in Stained Glass, FabricGreetings and NancysBagsEtc.
The sun is coming back to dark Sweden where I am sitting writing this blog post and sun light is a crucial element speaking of the first item of the three.

From Designs in Stained Glass comes this suncatcher.
The heart is made from a textured swirl clear glass with wire overlay. Blue swirl glass has been used for accent borders.
The etching says: One Love that is Shared by Two.

From FabricGreetings comes these two fabric postcards.
The old is the lace, the new is the sparkly trim, borrowed are the blue buttons (they won't be given back) and blue is the background fabric.

From NancysBagsEtc comes this lovely bridal purse. The description tells us that the heart shaped button represents something old, coming from the artist's husband's grandmother. It also tells us that the purse is Nancy's newest creation, just in time for the spring wedding season and perhaps someday, another bride would like to borrow this purse from you - on her special day.
For that something blue a satin ribbon has been added on the inside pocket.
