Team Member Spotlight! Headchange

We would like to introduce you to Headchange! She has an amazing supply of vintage paper goods and also makes wonderful jewelry. Just take a look at this unusual Alice in Wonderland pendant!

1. Your name, nickname and a little about who you are

I'm Rose,Rosa,Rosie, and Mom (usually accompanied by eye rolls)
Just a basic country girl. I'm still trying to figure out where life will lead me even though I am in my 40's

2. Surprise us with something about you that you think will shock us!

Most of my friends were shocked when we bought a motor cycle and I took up playing drums. To make it worse I really love hard rock.

3. What is your main craft/art/collectible?

I do a bit of everything. I paint, do woodwork, learning to weld. Last summer I
did the body work on a 64 chevy.

My product line is moving into a more organic direction. I have been working
with lots of wood as well as adding more organic materials to my resin work.

4. How did you start with Etsy?

My friends were buying my pendants. I decided to give them a convenient place
to see what I had in the works.

I quickly discovered the popularity of antique paper products. After over a year
of working to establish a shop for paper goods and supplies I have come full
circle and opened Headchange Creations for handmade items.

5. Any secrets to share for success? or What tool do you use to track your success?

I used to measure success in terms of numbers. I now measure success in terms of
the percentage of time available to do what I want to do rather than what I have
to do.
I feel success means very little if the investment of time spent to achieve it
outweighs the time spent in enjoyment of it. I guess it comes down to loving
what you do.

6. Hobbies or pastime when you are not doing Etsy.

We take the bike out as much as we can in summer. I love to take pictures of isolated locations along the way.

7. Where would your dream vacation be? and why

I hope to make it to Australia. And too many parts of Europe to name. I love to absorb other cultures and life styles. Also places steeped in centuries of history. I have a love of Tibet, But that leads into politics.

8. What do you hope to contribute and gain from Hearts and Hands United?

The gain comes from having genuine friendships. It is nice to see the same
people every day giving an opportunity to really get to know sellers on a
deeper level. Also nice to have people to talk shop with.

The needs of the team seem to evolve over time. I try to keep an eye out for
the opportunity to be of service.

10. Where do you draw your inspiration from? Your strength?

I am inspired by diversity. I love thinking way outside the box. I really love old objects seen from an entirely new perspective.

11. Free writing anything you want to say.

My favorite Willy Wonka quote
“We are the music makers, and we are the dreamers of dreams”
