January 2011 Challenge from HHU Team!

We have 2 themes to pick from for the January Challenge!

Remember - These things will be made during the month of January and Featured in February in preparation for March buying themes!

1st - March's birthstone is Aquamarine - so let's see your creation that either incorporates the Aquamarine stone, or contains the color of Aquamarine! A reference for the color can be found here: It is a very pale shade of blue.

2nd - By the time March is rolling around - those of us in the Northern Hemisphere are ready for spring! And, with spring's grand entrance on March 20, 2011, March is definitely when people think spring!

So, think Spring, Spring planting, Gardening, Watering Cans, Gloves, Planters, Garden Markers..You are preparing for Spring..Getting everything all ready..spring flowers starting to pop up..

Suggested colors to use in any piece : Think early spring flowers...Iris, Tulips, Pansies and daffodils - Yellows, blues, pastels

Be imaginative here..Think what the beginning of Spring looks like..Signs of life birds making a nest..bears coming out of hibernation..

Post a link to your item in the comments, and it will be featured on the blog one friday in February! Challenge for January closes on January 31st 2011.

I hope to have an entry in for this one. Sounds like fun and I love the Spring theme b/c I have been wanting to get started with using bright colors again.
